New Website is Live!

An illustrated website launching into a network of connected nodes

This is the first blog post on my new website! As I have moved everything onto a a Linux VPS, I have had to rebuild the website from scratch. I have also moved the website to a new domain name, so please update your bookmarks if you have any.


It is a static website built using Eleventy. It was fairly simple and I got something running, DNS stuff as well, in an afternoon. My old setup was Wordpress hosting on Windows but that comes with a lot of baggage. It is generally more expensive than a Linux box and Wordpress is a target for hackers. The old site got hacked and was taken off line. For that reason I thought the new one should just be a static site. I don't update it that often and it seems Eleventy can do blogs as well.
At the moment the website will just be text and links, but I like Bootstrap and will probably use that to make it look nicer.
